3 simple ways to overcome distraction

Do you find yourself avoiding the important things that you know will drive your life and business forwards? Do you get busy with the easier tasks that you know you can get done and so feel like you’re accomplishing something?

We keep ourselves busy with our endless to do lists, but we wonder why we don’t truly feel like we’re moving closer towards our goals and dreams.

The thing with distraction is that it keeps you busy. But busy doing the wrong things.

This kind of busy is frustrating and leads you to burnout and exhaustion.

You keep putting off the important decisions.

You avoid stepping out of your comfort zone.

From this place you find it very difficult to change your experience and your circumstances. 

In this training I share 3 simple ways you can overcome the distractions so you can move towards creating the results that you really want.

  • Stop with the busy. We need to slow down a little and take the right kinds of action that’s going to move us closer towards our goals. It’s all about the wonderful practice of patience.
  • Connect with others. We live in a particularly disconnected world, even though communication is easier than ever. But we don’t talk anymore. Really talk and create connections with others. We’d often rather do tasks on our own and that keeps us isolated.
  • Be willing to be uncomfortable. We need to get out of our comfort zones, and recognise that we’re being distracted to keep us safe. This is the space from which we learn and grow.
